Dandelion will make you wise

It makes me a little sad that so many people ignore The Rolling Stone's psychedelic period to focus on their grittier stuff. It was pretty brief and it didn't go over well at the time either- a lot of people accused them of trying to copy The Beatles and Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which came out not long before. But I think some of the songs are still solid, like this one. It was released as the B-side to "We Love You," but it became the hit. Yes, this song was a top 20 hit in the US! And yet I've never heard it on a classic rock station anywhere ever. Also, rumor has it that Paul McCartney and John Lennon sang backing vocals on this and on "We Love You," but it's never been confirmed. Take a listen for yourself and see if you think you hear them.
